Refund Policy
Skanyx is software: a Pro subscription, Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) credits, and optional vehicle slot add-ons. This page sets out what each refund looks like and how to request one. Skanyx does not sell OBD2 adapters, so any hardware return is handled by the retailer you bought it from.
Pro subscription, free trial and 14-day money-back
Every Pro subscription (€69.99/year or €12.99/month) starts with a 7-day free trial. Cancel any time during the trial from your account settings and you pay nothing. The trial is the best way to see if Skanyx Pro works for you before any money changes hands.
If you let the trial convert and then change your mind, you have a 14-day money-back window from your first paid charge. Email support@skanyx.com within those 14 days with the subject line Refund Request and your account email. We process the refund to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. No questionnaire, no retention call. The window covers your first paid charge only. Renewals are not covered, you cancel those instead.
If you ran a PPI inspection during the period, the standalone value of that inspection (€24.99 each) is deducted from your refund, including a complimentary annual credit if you used one. Any unused complimentary credit is removed when the subscription is refunded. This way you only pay for the inspections you actually used.
We may decline a refund where an account shows a clear pattern of abuse, for example repeated subscribe-and-refund cycles.
Cancellations are separate from refunds. You can cancel Pro at any time from your account settings. Monthly subscribers keep access until the end of the current billing cycle. Annual subscribers keep access until the end of the paid year. We do not pro-rate annual cancellations beyond the 14-day money-back window.
If you bought Pro through the Apple App Store or Google Play, those storefronts handle refunds under their own policies. Open the receipt email and use Apple's 'Report a Problem' or Google's 'Request a refund'. We can credit time back to your Skanyx account, but we cannot pull money from Apple or Google on your behalf.
PPI credits
PPI credit packs (€24.99 single, €59.99 3-pack, €89.99 5-pack) are non-refundable once you use a credit. Credits do not expire and stay in your balance until used.
A completed inspection is a delivered service. It is not refundable based on its result, whether the news is good or bad, the same way a vehicle history check or a mechanic's inspection is paid for whatever it turns up.
If you are based in the EU or EEA and have not used any credit from a pack, you can request a refund of that full pack within 14 days of purchase. Once you use a credit from the pack, or after 14 days, the pack is non-refundable.
If a PPI scan fails for a reason on our side, a server error, a stuck job, or a missing report, email support@skanyx.com with the order number and we restore the credit within 1 business day. This is a credit restore, not a cash refund.
Annual Pro subscribers receive 1 free PPI credit per year. Free credits roll over while the annual plan stays active. They are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. If the annual plan lapses, unused free credits remain in the account but no new ones are added.
Vehicle slot add-ons
Every plan includes 1 vehicle. If you need more, you can add extra slots as a one-time purchase: +1 vehicle for €1.99, +3 vehicles for €4.99, or +5 vehicles for €7.99. Slots never expire and stack across plans. Because slots are delivered to your account the moment you buy them, they are non-refundable once purchased.
If you are based in the EU or EEA and have not yet assigned any vehicle to a slot pack, you can request a refund of that pack within 14 days of purchase. Once you assign a vehicle to a slot from the pack, or after 14 days, the pack is non-refundable.
OBD2 adapters, third-party only
Skanyx does not sell OBD2 adapters. Any adapter you use with Skanyx comes from a third-party retailer, so any return, warranty claim, or shipping issue is handled by that retailer under their policy and your local consumer-protection law.
If your adapter is faulty or you change your mind, contact the seller you bought it from, Amazon, Autodoc.de, kfzteile24.de, oscaro.es, recambioscoches.es, autoplius.lt, exist.lt, allegro.pl, iParts.pl, intercars.pl, or whoever shipped it. Skanyx cannot process a refund or warranty claim on hardware we did not sell.

EU consumer rights
If you are based in the EU or EEA, EU consumer law gives you a 14-day cooling-off period to withdraw from a digital service contract.
When you buy Pro, checkout asks you to confirm two things: that you want access right away, and that you understand this waives your 14-day right of withdrawal once you start using Pro features. We record that confirmation with your order. If you give it and then use a Pro feature, the statutory withdrawal right no longer applies, though our own 14-day money-back window still does. If you do not give it, your 14-day right applies in full and you keep whichever is more favourable to you.
For PPI credits and vehicle slots, the 14-day cooling-off terms are set out in sections 02 and 03.
Statutory rights are not affected by anything else on this page.

We reply within 24 to 48 hours on business days. Refunds approved within the 14-day window arrive in your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
